Orchestra now comes with four different transfer types. Below are some example use cases for each type.
- Create an initial share issue – This type is designed as a way to get your share register up and running on Orchestra without the effort required to back-fill all historical share transactions. This gives you an opportunity to show your shareholders their current shareholding, while work goes into preparing the full and accurate share transaction history.
The Orchestra team can at anytime help you to build out your full historical share registry in the future.
- Create a new share issue – This transaction type defines the creation of new shares as issued by the company, such as shares created through a capital raising round, or company incorporation.
- Create a transfer – A generic share transfer is a transaction type between two parties. Examples include a secondary trade between buyer and seller.
- Create a cancel transaction – This feature allows you to cancel shareholdings. Example include share buy-backs or cancellations.
