Many companies use hybrid debt instruments such as convertible notes and shareholders loans, prior to creating standard shareholdings on a Register.
Through Orchestra, companies can add information in regards to such instruments on the 'Notes' feature contained within the 'Shareholders' Page of the Company Portal. This however only applies if a Shareholder also holds shares on your standard share registry.
With our new update, through the 'Associate Shareholders' tool, companies can now create a new user that only holds hybrid equity, or potentially no equity at all. Associate Shareholders can log into the Investor Portal of Orchestra and see their positions, as well as other investor information.
Associate Shareholders will be released to all companies by mid-August at the latest, however, if you wish to be part of the trial group for this solution feel free to get in touch and we can add you to this group.
How it will work
You will be able to add an 'associate' on the Shareholders page, allowing you to grant access to new people who aren't shareholders or owners/service providers/administrators.
Once added, new information can be entered in the 'Notes' section, used either for internal administrator notes, or information that will be displayed in the Associate's dashboard when they log in.
For notes added in the 'Shareholder information' box, these will be displayed in the associate's dashboard.
