A funding round (or investment round) is an event where a company raises money from investors in exchange for shares in the company. Each company may conduct multiple funding rounds over its lifetime.
To create a funding round on Orchestra, you will need to be logged in and have access as a company administrator to make any changes. From your dashboard, click the ‘Share Register’ dropdown from the toolbar on the left of the page and select ‘Funding rounds'.
Existing Funding Rounds
On the next page, you will see a list of each of the existing funding rounds. Each funding round has a unique name and a description of that round. You can edit the name and description of each existing funding round by clicking on the name.
Creating a New Funding Round
To create a new funding round, click 'Create funding round' in the top right of the page. Enter the name and description of the funding round and click 'Create'. Once created, when generating any new share issues, you will be able to select new funding rounds to assign to transactions.
